The
gammamat TI was the first gammamat unit to be recognized as the standard
for technology, safety, reliability and ease-of-use in the field of
gamma radiography. The wide range of applications includes the
maintenance of aircraft as well as examination of power and chemical
plants.
These devices incorporate a straight source channel with an eccentric
shutter. |

The
gammamat TSI/1 is the latest model in the gammamat Series. It is the
product of many years of evolution of gamma radiography devices for the
universal application of iridium 192 sources. It incorporates a straight
source channel, and a completely new, patented radiation labyrinth made
of tungsten. The gammamat TSI uses no uranium moving parts and it is
smaller and lighter than the conventional S-channel devices. |

The
gammamat TK Series’ useful operating range for steel is 30 to 250 mm.
For concrete, good results are obtained up to a thickness of
approximately 1 meter. This series can be used with electromechanical
remote controls and an automatic shutter. They can be interlocked to
door switches to increase the ease-of-operation. They offer the highest
standards of safety. |

The
gammamat SE is a gamma ray projector with unparalleled handiness and
extremely low weight. The use of Selenium-75 radiation source yields
improved image quality. The longer half-life and simplified radiation
protection result in substantial cost savings. Compared to cameras that
use Ir-192 sources, it can be safely used in smaller controlled test
areas. |

Tungsten collimators
The large offering of tungsten collimators, designed for differing
source types and shielding requirements can be combined to achieve
various beam configurations.
Source guide tubes
The
gammamat range of rigid and flexible source guide tubes in various
lengths allows optimum positioning of the source during radiographic
operations.
Centering and positioning devices
A wide range of centering and positioning devices for source guide
tubes, collimators, and gammamat exposure devices are available. These
include magnetic, strap and chain supports, pipe tongs for elliptical
exposures, and pipe centering devices for both small and large diameter
pipes.
Manual Remote Controls
Remote controls are an essential safety component of the gammamat
systems. They allow the operation of the radioactive source form a safe
distance.
All GammaMat remote controls are manufactured to tolerances that ensure
that the controls are properly connected to the camera and source holder
before the source can be extended. |

gammatel ES automatic drive system for gammamat equipment |
 |
|
The
gammatel ES is an electrically-powered automatic drive system for
gammamat devices. Contributing to operator safety and convenience, the
gammatel ES consists of a drive unit with a small, easily removable
control panel. The gammatel ES is principally designed for stationary
applications, but it can also be used in mobile field settings where
safety hazards require the operator to maintain a distance from the
drive unit.
User friendly remote control and monitoring
The gammatel ES allows gammamat devices with automatic shutters to be
operated and closed via remote control. All inputs regarding the start
of the irradiation, exposure time, and exposure pre-warning time are
done via the unit’s twelve input keys, and viewed on the LED display.
The starting time and duration of exposure can be precisely preset.
Entries are prompt and menu-driven. All entries, as well as the elapsed
exposure time and source travel distance, can be checked on the display
at any time.
Operating distance
The operating control and drive unit are connected by a cable 10 meters
(11 yd) long.
Safety features
Safety interlock circuitry allows connection of door contact switches to
prevent exposure of the source while the exposure room doors are open.
The circuitry also automatically retracts the source in the event that
the door or other circuit switches are opened during exposure.
Emergency switches that trigger an immediate retraction of the source
are located at both the control panel and drive unit. The program can
then be resumed later from the interruption point. Batteries allow the
source to be retracted in case of a power failure. Manual retraction of
the source is also possible. |
